I don't actually use RSS feeds but I can see that they are useful to many and there are many more new ways to use and organise RSS's.

Google docs.

We have already had experience of using google docs with our regional Librarian using this tool for a Cataloguing manual and with the Secretary of the Pulic Libaries NSW Country Central west zone using this for a New Managers Toolkit document for us to look at and add as we feel necessary. This will be wonderful to use, no need to purchase document software.
Zoho is more complex with a variety of software for different uses.
This is remarkable, there will be many uses for Libraries and also our public .

podcasts

Our library could use podcasts to provide author visits, lectures, guest speakers to our country clients who live long distances from town and can't come into the Library to attend these events. Unfortunately this will mean that clients will not come into the Library personally as there will not be a need to actually visit the library in the flesh. However this will give them more opportunity to be able to access all these events.

I just picked any video to try to embed it onto my blog. It is quite mind boggling the number of videos that are available and there are many ways that Libraries can use this form of communication to promote, teach and inform its clientele with this great way.
